Hacking Window 7 Password Using Ophcrack

What Is Ophcrack ?

Opcrack is an open source windows password cracker based on rainbow tables. It comes with Graphical user interface(GUI) and runs on multiple platform such windows, linux and mac.  It allows you to recover or hack windows password.

How To Crack Windows 7 Password Using Ophcrack ?

Before you start doing this you will need a blank CD or DVD to burn the live image of ophcrack
  1. Download Opcrack Live Cd by http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/download.php
  2. Download windows xp or windows 7 live cd depending on platform you are wishing to hack. For example:Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Click on ophcrack Vista/7 LiveCD.WindowsXP: Click on ophcrack XP LiveCD.
  3. Now burn the live image on to the cd.
  4. Insert the disc into drive and restart you computer.
  5. If everything goes right you will see screen like below.
  6. After you see screen like above wait for ophcrack to boot automatically or you may press Enter to advance.
  7. Now you will see several lines of code printed on screen or they might disappear very quickly (you dont need to worry about that).
  8.  Then you will see screen like below it is ophcrack password recovering software. At the Ophcrack screen it shows the Administrator and Guest account. Notice the word “empty”. This means that if the account is enabled you could log in without a password.
  9. Ophcrack WILL NOT CRACK THE PASSWORD because the hash table which it needs is not available for free. But it does show the NTLM hash.
  10. Copy this hash value which is under NT Hash field.
  11.  Navigate to http://crackstation.net/ which is an online hash cracking tool.
  12. Type in the hash value you copied down in Step 9, Enter the captche and click on Crack Hashes.

Know If Someone Logged In MY Computer While I'm away - Create Your Own Computer Spy

Hi friends, recently I received an email from a friend who was curious that when he went to his office people actually logged in into his computer with his password. Since he can't change the password because some family are not comfortable with it.
All he want is to trace down the number of times and users logged in to his computer.
Some people also might wanna know that how many times there computer got boot up or how many users actually logged in the system while they are away.
There are so many software available on internet claiming to monitor the activities of the computer, however all they require is Internet, huge hard disk space or some more penny which is obviously not comfortable with Geeks like us.
So here I come up with a temporary and simple solution for this. I'll explain it later in the article, if required as its quite simple. Just follow the Steps:
Open Notepad. Copy the below script:

echo. >> logs.txt
TIME /T >> logs.txt
DATE /T >> logs.txt
echo %USERNAME% >> logs.txt
Save it as spy.bat

Now simply copy this file to the Startup folder which is most probably located at:  start menu > Accessories and scroll down to get it. (if by simply copying this file wont work with you, then you probably need to copy the file in All Startup folder.) Alternatively, you can also create a shortcut to your file in Startup folder.

That's it. Now whenever your PC will reboot, the provided script will execute and create a logs.txt file with appropriate TIME,DATA and USERNAME who's responsible for the LOG IN. :)

Simple enough.

As this method is not much good for those users who wants to get the exact identity of the user OR want an image of the user. May be in the future I'll come up with something like that too. Till then it can be used as a good alternative.
